Integrity check at every publish: sum-of-channel-attributed conversions = canonical conversions, within tolerance. Drift over tolerance triggers review path before publishing.

Pixel deduplication failure

Site has Meta Pixel firing on page-load + CAPI sending server-side events. Customer converts; both fire for the same conversion. Without deduplication via event_id, Meta counts it twice. Multiplied across all conversions, Meta-reported conversions are 30-40% inflated. CMO reports inflated CPA-out-of-Meta number; budget allocated based on inflated numbers; actual ROI lower than expected.

How to avoid: Every conversion fires CAPI with deterministic event_id; pixel fires same event_id. Meta deduplicates server-side. Validate deduplication via Events Manager; the dedup-rate metric should be 95%+ for properly-configured tracking. Quarterly review of pixel + CAPI configuration as platform changes; this is the single most common conversion-tracking failure pattern.
